- These function keys are labeled F1 through F12/F19 (how many you have depends on your keyboard), along with an Escape key and an Eject key that looks like a triangle on top of a horizontal line. By default, every Mac has already assigned commands to the F8 through F12 function keys.
- Macs come with a ton of great keyboard shortcuts and bindings that make it really easy to perform a lot of tasks in the system. However, if there is one major keyboard shortcut that’s missing from macOS all these years, it’s that you can’t perform a right-click on a selected item using the keyboard.

To see a list of shortcuts that you can use with an app, press and hold the Command ⌘ key when you use the app or on the Home screen. Mac zip no such file or directory.
The first and most obvious is that a Mac keyboard doesn't have a Windows key. More accurately, it doesn't have a key with the Windows symbol on it, but the one marked command or cmd acts as one. MacBook keyboard has few distinctive sections: Function keys (in light blue), which provides access to various functions in MacBook itself or Mac OS system. By combining them with the FN key, you'll get access to F1 - F12 keys, which can be associated with particular application features (useful in Photoshop for example). To use Ctrl+Alt+Del in Windows virtual machine, go to Devices (on Mac OS X menu bar) Choose keyboard from the drop-down and select Ctrl+Alt+Delete. Use common keyboard shortcuts
Most iPad keyboard shortcuts use the Command ⌘ key, like on a Mac. If you're more familiar with a PC keyboard, the Command ⌘ key does the same thing as the Control key on a PC.
Here are some common keyboard shortcuts:
- Command-H: Go to the Home screen.
- Command-Space bar: Show or hide the Search field.
- Command-Tab: Switch to the next most recently used app among your open apps.
- Command-Shift-3: Take a screenshot.
- Command-Shift-4: Take a screenshot and immediately open Markup to view or edit it.
- Command-Option-D: Show or hide the Dock.
